Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many during the 21st Century. Swift's love for music started when she was a young age. From plays for children to singing in front of thousands of people, Swift made rapid progress. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year, she took up guitar and began to write songs. Swift was a singer who took influences from the music of Shania Twain and that of the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world in country music composed her original songs to reflect her experience with alienation. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at the age of 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. The move gave Swift to spend more time courting labels for the country genre in Nashville.
